Engineering, Design, & Prototyping
Many of our clients know what they want and have a finished design in hand ready to prototype. Other clients know what they want to achieve but don’t know how to design and spec it for production. Airtronics has you covered either way and everything in between!
Our Engineering and Design team excels at understanding project objectives and concepts, and converts them into a viable and cost-effective production solution. We optimize designs for manufacturing to keep the quality at the highest level and your delivery as swift as possible.
With our extensive online (click & drag) tool library, we can streamline the design process and save on your tooling costs. This assures “quick-turn” delivery of prototypes and first articles, expediting confirmation of your final design concept.
You will enjoy and probably be amazed by how we produce your project. We have the finest robotic machining capabilities supported by the most experienced ‘hands on’ craftsmen. You get the best of both worlds!
Our fabrication floor is equipped with 5 turret and robotic punch presses, Amada laser and punch laser combo, 14 punch breaks, CNC (also known as Computer Numerical Control) machining center, vertical mill, vertical milling center for a total of over 3 dozen machines and work stations.
We are a completely paperless manufacturing plant, meaning we use computers to send instructions to the machines to assure that everything manufactured here is done perfectly to spec. This allows us to run your job 24/7 to get it done on time, as well as produce the precision that manual labor cannot achieve.
Flat sheet and tubes. With our advanced laser cutting capabilities, we can produce even the most intricate components quickly and with unparalleled precision.
CNC turret punching creates shapes in sheet material by successively punching a series of basic shapes such as circles and rectangles.
Graining & Deburring
All finishes are burr free. Choose from a variety of cosmetic grains or polish finishes to meet your product requirements.
Our AMADA press brakes can handle a full range of material thicknesses in bend lengths from 55 to 169.3 inches. With intelligent, interactive, integrated controls, we promise high-speed and high-accuracy.
Equipped with 34 MIG and 6 TIG welding capabilities, we can handle any welding requirement you may need.
Our CNC machining capabilities include prototyping, low to high volume product runs, high production manufacturing, and partnerships with off-shore companies as needed for cost-effective large production parts.
EMLK Laser Punch
Combines punching and laser technology allows more complex tasks to be managed and achieves it in a much shorter time and at notably lower operating costs.
Painting & Finishing
Sometimes, well, looks can be almost everything. Airtronics has the in-house ability to finish electronic metal parts with whatever visual look you want to the highest professional standards. Your finished product will look great!
Our expertise includes water-based enamels (both high and low bake), high solid urethanes and powder paint at various temperatures, glosses, textures and classes. Our modern facilities can handle all levels of finishing, coating and silk-screening for both prototype and production run projects.
Painting, Finishing & Silk-Screening Capabilities
- Conveyor-based 5-stage, high-pressure spray washer and 12’x 28’ flash-off oven
- Baking ovens for batch or in-line operations with re-circulating temperature control
- Electrostatic, airless air assist “wet” paint and conventional powder systems
- Full library of colors and textures

Automated Wash Line
Our automated, multi-stage wash line prepares parts for painting and/or silkscreen.
Paint & Powder
We use water-based enamels (both high and low bake), high solid urethanes and powder paint at various temperatures, glosses, textures and classes.
To finish off the manufacturing, we offer silkscreen labeling for connectors, switches, ports, etc., as well as company logos, product identifier graphics, and more.
We know your job isn’t finished until it’s assembled and inspected and meets every requirement perfectly. That’s why nearly 20% of our factory floor is devoted to mechanical and electromechanical assembly, quality assurance and shipping. Our separate electro-static and climate-controlled manufacturing areas provide “clean-room” like conditions.

ISO 13485 certified for the production of medical devices
Airtronics is ISO 13485:2003 certified and upgraded its previous ISO 9001:2000 certification to the newer ISO 9001:2008 standard. To become ISO 13485 certified, companies must implement and maintain a medical device Quality Management System (QMS) that provides tight change control and full traceability, and which ensures that steps have been taken to identify, manage, and minimize the risks involved in the design, manufacture, and distribution of medical devices.
Medical customers tend to stay with U.S. suppliers, because they don’t like to go offshore with their parts. They need to get material certifications, and be able to trust those certifications. They can with Airtronics.
