SAN JOSE, Calif. – Oct 4th, 2004 – Airtronics Metal Products, Inc., one of Silicon Valley’s premier custom sheet metal engineering, design and manufacturing companies for the technology industry, today announced that they are also entering the standard rack and enclosure business. Effective immediately the company will commence shipment of a family of highly configurable racks and cabinets for the networking industry, computer storage and other IT infrastructures, as well as for process, semiconductor, test and other industrial uses.

“We have been supplying most of the major technology vendors in Silicon Valley for over 40 years, and a lot of it has been custom cabinets, racks and other enclosures,” said Jeff Burke, president of Airtronics. “Many of these clients have told us they prefer to get standard cabinets from us as well, and thus the 710 series products we are announcing today are our first offerings in this area.”

“We have designed this new range to be highly modular, working off industry standard sizes and configurations,” said James Ellis, VP Engineering. “Our research has shown that a tall nineteen inch rack frame in just a couple of different depths is a great building block for many varied applications. Of course, as a company traditionally devoted to custom work, we are happy to extend the design, options or color to any specific need as well.”
